Interpretation. Capitalized words have meanings defined below. The following definitions apply regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural.

Definitions.

  • Account means a unique account created for you to access our Service or parts of our Service.
     
  • Company (“McKale Advisory Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) refers to McKale Advisory Group with principal place of business at 13854 Lakeside Cir Ste 271, Sterling Heights, MI 48313.
     
  • Consumer has the meaning under applicable U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA).

  • Third-party Social Media Service refers to any website or social network through which a user can log in or share information.
     
  • Website refers to McKale Advisory Group, accessible from mckalegroup.com
     
  • You means the individual using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on whose behalf such individual is using the Service.
     

2) Categories of Personal Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of Personal Data (depending on your interactions with us):

  • Identifiers & Contact Info: name, email address, mailing address, phone number, state/ZIP, city.
     
  • Demographics (optional): age, date of birth.
     
  • Application/Consultation Inputs: financial or coverage information you share with us (e.g., products of interest), limited medical or lifestyle information you choose to provide (e.g., relevant to insurance pre-qualification), and notes from discovery calls or forms.
     
  • Usage Data & Technical Info: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of visit, time spent on pages, device identifiers, and similar diagnostic data.
     
  • Communications Data: your preferences and consents (email, SMS/Text), messages you send us, support requests, survey responses.
     
  • Social/Referral Data: if you interact with us via social platforms, we may receive profile info in accordance with your settings on that platform.
     

Sensitive Data. We do not seek to collect sensitive Personal Data unless you choose to provide it in connection with services (e.g., certain application data for insurance). If provided, we process it only as necessary to deliver requested services and as permitted by law.

3) How We Collect Personal Data

  • Directly from you when you complete forms, book appointments, sign up for resources, communicate with us, or purchase services.
     
  • Automatically via Cookies and similar technologies when you use the Website.
     
  • From Service Providers/Partners that help us operate the Service (e.g., analytics, CRM, scheduling, payment & billing processors).
     

4) How We Use Personal Data

5) SMS/Text Messaging Terms 


No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Additional SMS disclosures:

  • By opting into SMS, you consent to receive text messages related to your inquiries, appointments, reminders, educational content, and service updates.
     
  • Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
     
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or contact us at info@mckalegroup.com or 586-221-0780.
     
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
     
  • We retain SMS consent records as required by law and for compliance (e.g., TCPA).
     

6) Cookies, Tracking & Analytics

We use Cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate and improve the Website, remember preferences, and perform analytics.

  • Necessary Cookies enable core site functionality and security.
     
  • Functional/Performance Cookies improve features and measure performance.
     
  • Analytics Cookies help us understand how the site is used.
     

You can manage Cookies in your browser settings. If you disable Cookies, some features may not function properly. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals at this time.


7) Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK visitors)

Where applicable, we rely on consent, contract necessity, legitimate interests (e.g., to improve services), legal obligations, and vital interests as legal bases.


8) How We Share Personal Data

We may share Personal Data with:

  • Service Providers/Subcontractors (e.g., hosting, analytics, CRM, email/SMS platforms, scheduling, customer support, payment processing) solely to perform services for us and under confidentiality obligations.
     
  • Professional Advisors (e.g., attorneys, accountants) under confidentiality, as needed for our operations.

We do not sell Personal Data, and we do not “share” Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

SMS carve-out reiterated: Mobile/text opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties, and are not used by third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing only occurs with subcontractors that support messaging delivery or customer service as described above.

9) Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state/country, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete Personal Data.
     
  • Opt out of certain processing (e.g., marketing).
     
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
     
  • Appeal a denial of your request (for certain U.S. states).
     
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

California Notice at Collection. We collect the categories listed in Section 2 for the purposes described in Section 4. We retain Personal Data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We do not sell or share Personal Data as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

10) Data Retention

We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal/contractual obligations, resolve disputes, protect our rights, and maintain appropriate business records. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose.

11) Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12) Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children. If you believe a child has provided us Personal Data, contact us so we can delete it.

13) International Transfers

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the Service, you consent to such transfer, subject to applicable safeguards.

14) Third-Party Links & Social Media

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrations with social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before providing Personal Data.

15) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated “Effective Date” will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be posted on the Website and, where required, we will notify you via the contact information you have provided.
